Kadyrov declares sending more Chechen volunteers to Ukraine's Donbass
Ramzan Kadyrov, the president of Chechnya, declared on Friday that a fresh contingent of Chechen volunteers was en route to the Donbas region of Ukraine, where Russia had just formally annexed the Donetsk and Luhansk provinces.
According to a statement made by Kadyrov, "We sent another squad of real patriots, termed volunteers, to the Russian Donbass."
At the Russian Special Forces University, the volunteers had a brief course in guns training, tactical, engineering, and technical training, as well as topographical and medical training, according to Kadyrov.
According to "RT," he emphasized that the volunteers received training in the trench fighting technique in circumstances that were as similar to actual combat situations as possible.
In accordance with the Russian Federation's Constitution, President Vladimir Putin signed a law on October 5 annexing the Ukrainian provinces of Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia to Russia.
At that time, Putin also authorized the official appointment of the regional heads that Moscow had previously established.
According to another proclamation signed by Putin on the same date, Russia has legally taken control of the Zaporizhia nuclear plant in southern Ukraine, which it has been militarily controlling for months.
The West rejected the Russian decision, considering it a "void decision" and continued to support Ukraine militarily to confront the military operation launched by Russia in Ukraine on February 24.
The Russian decisions were preceded by the call of the leader of the Moscow-backed administration in Donbass to hold an urgent referendum on the accession of the region to Russia.
